Taylor Bros, a third-generation family business headquartered in Hobart, is a diversified engineering company providing a wide range of services to the general marine industry and defence, offshore, and Antarctic industries throughout Australia and overseas.

Taylor Bros specialises in internal fit outs for all types of shipping and the offshore industry and builds modular accommodation units especially suited to extreme weather conditions in remote locations. The company has worked extensively with the Australian Antarctic Division providing specialist outfitted accommodation units for Australia’s Davis and Casey Stations using structurally modified shipping containers that house up to 60 people, as well as workshop and storage areas.

Our prefabrication approach minimises the amount of work conducted on site, compressing the project schedule. Taylor Bros also undertakes major projects for defence organisations and businesses in the maritime and oil and gas sectors. The company’s marine engineers have special expertise in the fabrication and installation of ship sections, seasonal layups and engine room rebuilds, maintenance programs and the provision of purpose built machinery and equipment.
