CPB Contractors is the Australasian construction company of the CIMIC Group. We provide a trusted and experienced partner for the delivery of major infrastructure projects and combine the construction expertise and track record formerly delivered by Leighton Contractors and Thiess. We have delivered iconic projects across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, India and Papua New Guinea and we work across all key sectors of the construction industry, including aviation, roads, rail, tunnelling, defence, building and resources infrastructure. We work closely with clients and partners to connect communities and ensure our projects play a key role in urban and rural development, help to drive economic growth and provide vital long-term infrastructure. Within Tasmania, we are part of the team who delivered the Bowen Bridge in Hobart in 1984 and CPB Contractors has since established a permanent Tasmanian presence, more recently constructing the Brighton Bypass Northern Section, which opened in 2012, and currently delivering various projects under Taswater’s Capital Delivery Office Alliance. Recognising the global significance of the work performed by the Australian Antarctic Division, CPB Contractors is actively seeking opportunities to support both the growth of Antarctic research and the development of Tasmania as the international gateway to the Antarctic continent.
